This is where you will really look at yourself, and your skills and start to acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses that will help you develop your future strategy. Throughout the course, you will undertake a range of feedback opportunities that will enable you to self-analyze your own brand while you develop your specialist skills with cutting-edge instructional content.
This course will help you upskill alongside gaining an understanding of the promotional tools and platforms that can be used to speak to your intended audience. Award: Level 4 Extended Certificate for Creative Practitioners
In order to have a sustainable career within the music industry, it is necessary to not just to possess a broad set of skills, but to be able to develop and improve upon them in such a way as to supersede the performance of others. With this in mind, Career Development builds on the work of Self-Analysis by developing objective awareness of the strengths and weaknesses of your working style.
As you continue to develop your specialist skills, such as instrumental technique, compositional skills or music industry awareness, you will be guided in the creation of an action plan that demonstrates an awareness of timescale, achievability and goal setting. Your plan will be a research-based exercise that demonstrates an understanding of how you will develop your skills and brand over a specified period of time, complete with key performance indicators and milestones.
Note: Career Development may only be taken alongside or following successful completion of Self-Analysis for the Extended Certificate to be achieved.
