Self-Care for Creative Professionals

Course Overview & Information

This course focuses on developing your knowledge, skills and understanding of health and wellbeing for those working in the creative industries. You will study how to manage your physical health as undertake your specialist activities in the music industry. This will include the development of strategies to improve and maintain fitness, eating a balanced diet, maintaining your physical body and coping strategies for injuries and accidents. Additionally, mental well-being while managing a freelance career will also be studied, including understanding and strategic support for issues such as anxiety, depression and eating disorders.

This class is suitable for guitarists, bassist, drummers, vocalists, songwriters, music entrepreneurs, music producers and creators.

Course Duration: 10 weeks of study + 1 week for Summative Assessment
Credits: 20 UK credits. Please contact us for information about credit equivalencies. 
Qualification:
Students must complete this course, as well as Industry Skills in Context to earn an RSL Creative Industries Level 5 Extended Diploma. Learn more about RSL here.
Estimated Weekly Study Hours: 15-20 hrs. (Online study may vary.)
Payment:
£50 deposit, £200 per month (over 3 months). Total payment: £650.
